Photos: Portugal part 2 (and an important question)

I started the year of with a little visit to São Marthino in Portugal and have finally published the photos! You can find them here: Portugal part 2.

Since I arrived in Melbourne, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life. I’ve been wondering how I can make a living out of the things I love doing most: Exploring the world, photography, writing and meeting people. Safe to say, I still have no idea. Inexperience and cluelessness follow me around everywhere and I can’t figure out how I will accomplish my dreams. This sounds very melodramatic, and it is really, because I am young and have so much time. Still, I really want to start now. My blog was never meant to be professional – it was meant for friends, family, anyone interested, and mostly for me. However, lately I’ve been thinking of growing my platform and viewers, to maybe monetize the blog in the future, but also to improve my work ethic.

The point I wanted to get to is that I have been thinking a lot about my art and about making an income from it – even if it’s just a little, just to keep me on the road. So, I wanted to use this post to ask my you if you would be interested in buying my photos? I could do physical prints on photographic paper in different sizes or digital files so you can print the photos on whatever material you like. If there’s suggestions (e.g what price are you willing to pay), questions or requests, either leave a comment or contact me through the contact form or Instagram.

This is honestly so hard for me to post, because I get so embarrassed about my blog, photography or ‘asking’ for money, but I’ve been thinking and talking about it for so long, so I figured I should just try.

    Hi Célestine, it is a good thing to stop & wonder for a while what you’re doing, what your goals are and what you’ve reached til now.
    Maybe it would help you if you split the big goals in smaller targets that are easier to handle and to measure, just for yourself (tip: google on SMART goals). For example: “Within 7 days I will create an online portfolio separated in themes where I can upload my best pictures to”. In this way you will achieve intermediate goals and that is very satisfying!
    Oh, and no need to be embarrassed to ask for help or advice.
    And actually I am serious about your portfolio. Make theme’s like your lines series, persons, architecture, wildlife, whatever. Your future client may be looking for a specific theme!
    And this will guide you in taking pictures in the first place.
